BRIDGES
The aim of the project is to reduce the effects of possible cultural isolation on ethnic bases that the new administrative division of Macedonia can produce.
CTC will contribute to this process through:

• distribution of multi-language and cross-cultural theatre performances in ethnically compact areas through the Across the Line activity,
• stimulation of local individual artists, cultural organizations and theatre groups to produce multi-language and cross-cultural theatre performances in provincial and rural areas through the Open stage activity that later can be part of the Across the Line activity.

ACROSS THE LINE activity is distributing performances of multi-language and cross-cultural character in as many areas as possible that are considered as risk zones both in western and eastern Macedonia. Initially these performances are own productions of CTC that are already produced or will be produced in the coming year and later they will be complemented by such performances that will derive from the Open stage activity. CTC is sending on tour at least 6 performances per year in at least 15 different places all over Macedonia and reach between 1500-2000 children and youth as audiences.

OPEN STAGE – To empower local artists and cultural organization to produce in an independent way cross-cultural work for children and youth is very important for the long term sustainability of this process in the future. This process will be strongly supported and stimulated by CTC both with expertise, technical support and human recourses but it will also involve the local government in this process first with political support and later with concrete financial, logistical and other in kind support.
Each year the project supports 2-3 performances of this kind. These performances are also part in the tour of Across the Line activity. The groups and artists will be chosen by the bigger provincial towns with more potential for sustainability in the future. The precondition for such support is the involvement in some capacity of the local government.
All performances from the Open stage will also have the chance to play on the stage of CTC in Skopje where they will be exposed to national press and media.

Both project, Across the line and Open stage, will also take place during the school year and the theatre season.
